San Diego Comic-Con is nearing the end of its annual run. However, the two biggest draws of this event each year are the Marvel and WB film panels. While the WB panel has just commenced during the writing of this article, the studio wasted no time in getting the hype train rolling.
This morning saw the release of a brand-new poster for DC’s upcoming blockbuster Justice League. The promotion features our main heroes: Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Aquaman, and Cyborg. The tagline, “You can’t save the world alone”, has some fun with the protagonist’s emblems. Superman’s absence is still a marketing tactic WB is employing, most likely to pique the interest of the uninitiated moviegoer.
That being said the biggest standout to many is the art style. For those who are unfamiliar with DC’s comic book endeavors, this poster seems to be paying homage to the great Alex Ross. His art is known for its lifelike aesthetic and heroic presentation. With much of the DCEU’s criticism pushing against the universally dour tone, this poster seems to follow suit with this summer’s Wonder Woman in providing more inspiring heroes.
We will see when Justice League drops November 17 starring Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Ray Fisher, Jason Momoa, and Henry Cavill. Check out the poster below.
