At WonderCon, DC comics announced a new “Justice League Dark” comic series! It will be a part of the banner “New Justice” and it will be written by James Tynion IV and drawn by Alvaro Martinez, Brad Anderson and Raul Fernandez.
Judging by its cover, it seems like Wonder Woman will have a significant role in it. The other characters will be Zatanna, Swamp Thing, Man-Bat, Detective Chimp and probably other mystical creatures that have been members of the team in previous comic arcs.
Wonder Woman’s presence in this series has been criticized since the team wasn't expected to have a Justice League member as its lead although the role of “leader” has changed a few times: for instance, both Zatanna and Constantine have been leaders.
But it's likely that they're using the female superhero for her popularity and that they will focus on a few other characters, like Zatanna, who is an important and powerful member of the team.
Moreover, Wonder Woman has a mystical background as well, and since she is extremely strong (not just physically) she will probably do good for the team and be able to motivate all the others to actually put in effort to benefit the team. She may even be able to get through to the most selfish members in the group like Constantine.
The Justice League Dark has been gone from comics for a while, so, although there might be some unusual changes and additions, it is still an amazing choice to bring them back.
